Workforce
Workforce provides the tools needed to manage Backflow Device Testers, Cross-Connection Specialists, Site Inspectors, and Non-Potable Site Supervisors. These records are used during the Enforcement of regulatory actions and represent the human elements involved.
Backflow Device Testers
Managing certified backflow devices testers is a critical part of any cross-connection control program. Each backflow device tester record includes a unique certification number and expiration date that are used within BackTrack to insure current certification compliance when entering backflow device tests.
Backflow device tester records without a valid certification will not be included in the Public Testers List and cannot be used when entering Backflow Device Tests. Records that do not have the "Include in public testers list" checkbox checked will also be excluded from the Public Testers List. These are generally internal certified backflow device testers that do not perform tests for the public.
Backflow Device Test records maintain a historical record of the Backflow Device Tester, so changes made to the Backflow Device Tester records within Workforce are not made to existing Backflow Device Test records.
Backflow Device Tester records are added, edited, and deleted using the appropriate tools located in the toolbar above the Backflow Device Tester grid. Additional tools include Email, Website, and Notes. The Email tool enables if an email address in included in the record and provides the ability to send an email to the tester. The Website tool enables if a URL is included in the record. This tool will open your default browser to the testers website. The Notes tool allows for entering multiple notes on the selected tester.
Cross-Connection Specialists
Each cross-connection specialist record includes a unique certification number and expiration date that are used within BackTrack to insure current certification compliance when entering non-potable site cross-connection tests.
Non-potable site cross-connection tests maintain a historical record of the cross-connection specialist, so changes made to cross-connection specialist records within Workforce are not made to existing cross-connection tests.
Cross-connection specialist records are added, edited, and deleted using the appropriate tools located in the toolbar above the cross-connection specialist grid. Additional tools include Email, Website, and Notes. The Email tool enables if an email address in included in the record and provides the ability to send an email to the specialist. The Website tool enables if a URL is included in the record. This tool will open your default browser to the specialists website. The Notes tool allows for entering multiple notes on the selected specialist.
Site Inspectors
Site inspector records represent water service and/or non-potable site inspectors that are typically in-house employees.
Site inspections maintain a historical record of the site inspector, so changes made to site inspector records within Workforce are not made to existing site inspection records.

The Email tool enables if an email address in included in the record and provides the ability to send an email to the inspector. The Notes tool allows for entering multiple notes on the selected inspector.
Non-Potable Site Contacts
Non-Potable Site Contact records represent individuals responsible for non-potable sites. Each non-potable site can have up to three contacts: a primary contact, a site supervisor, and a alternate contact. Each contact is derived from the Non-Potable Site Contacts dataset.
