Non-Potable Sites

Non-potable site records represent physical locations where non-potable water is served. These sites should contain one or more non-potable water services. Any non-potable site might contain one or more potable water services.

Each non-potable site record contains a unique number to assist in identifying the sites. This unique number is user-definable. Non-potable sites can share names, but not site numbers.

For example, several non-potable sites can be named Main Street Landscape Median, but each site must have unique site numbers to distinguish each record accordingly. In this example, you could easily look-up all records named Main Street Landscape Median that represent several miles of landscape median, but this median could contain many irrigation water services across many individual sites, each identifiable by site number.

Assigning Water Service Accounts to Non-Potable Sites
Water service accounts are assigned to non-potable sites by modifying the account record or the non-potable site record.

To assign a account to a non-potable site by modifying the account record, open the Account Detail Form and select the non-potable site number from the drop-down box labeled Non-Potable Site Number.

To assign a account to a non-potable site by modifying the non-potable site record, open the Non-Potable Site Detail Form by double-clicking on the non-potable site record. Then, in the Accounts Grid located on the detail form, right-click on the grid and select Add Account from the pop-up menu.

Non-Potable Site Enforcement Actions
There are two types of enforcements for non-potable sites:

In BackTrack, these enforcement actions are applied to the non-potable site records by calculating the last action taken, and comparing the dates and assigned action months to inform the user when an action is to be performed.

Actions to be performed are placed in the respective queues, then the user will select an action due and perform the inspection or cross-connection test to the non-potable site. The findings of the action is then entered into BackTrack, where they are recorded a used for the next calculation enforcement action, based on user-definable parameters.

Please see Enforcement for more information on enforcement actions for non-potable sites.
